Bummulo Malandrino - Donkey and Prickly Pears
Let's start with the name "Bummulo" (terracotta jug) and "Malandrino" (mischievous, cunning).
It's a fun object that will leave everyone speechless.
The Bummulo Malandrino is a closed jug; to pour water or wine, you must turn it upside down, and the liquid will pour out through the central hole in the base. The hole has no stopper and will not let a single drop escape once inverted.
This jug is very special; thanks to the tube inside it, the liquid poured in does not fall out from the bottom but pours from the spout, also maintaining the temperature of the poured beverage.
Sicilian farmers used it in the countryside to keep water cool all day long.
